Dynamic body balancing

Dr. Lisa Provenza-Tabak is also certified as a Dynamic Body Balancing practitioner. Dynamic Body Balancing (DBB) is a form of craniosacral therapy taught by Dr. Carol Phillips, a renowned Chiropractor, doula and author who specializes in the care of pregnant women, infants including newborns, and children.

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and balancing the function of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system. This system includes the covering of the brain and spinal cord, the cerebrospinal fluid, and the musculoskeletal system including the fascia of the body. By addressing the craniosacral system, the balance of the autonomic nervous system can be addressed as can the function of the cranial nerves and the balance of the tissues of the body.

Dynamic Body Balancing is great for all complications of pregnancy and childhood as its aim is to restore proper balance and function; and who needs this more than a pregnant mom and child? If there is pain during pregnancy, there is a complication and an imbalance. If there is dysfunction in a mother or child, there is an imbalance somewhere. DBB serves to restore balance and harmony to the whole body.

Patients can schedule a DBB/Craniosacral session with Dr. Lisa for 30 or 60 minute sessions. Because this technique addresses the torque in the tissues of the body, often times chronic pain can be successfully addressed and chronic misalignment patterns can be released. Because DBB serves to address the function of the central nervous system, cranial nerve imbalances resulting in conditions like Tic Douloureux, Bell’s Palsy, facial motor tics, dyslexia, dyscalculia, apraxia, torticollis, vertigo and TMJ dysfunction can often be addressed. Because DBB serves to restore balance to the autonomic nervous system, issues with digestion and stress/anxiety can often be resolved.
